The GreenTech Lab supports SMEs in the sustainable transition by aligning them with the Ecodesign Regulation (ESPR) and the drafting of Digital Product Passports (DPP). It ensures transparency, traceability and circularity throughout the product life cycle.
The ESPR sets requirements for products to be more energy and resource efficient, as in the 2009 Directive, but also more durable, reusable, repairable and recyclable. As a framework legislation, it defines specific standards over time, by product or by groups of similar characteristics.
The Digital Product Passport (DPP) is an EU tool that gathers essential information about a product throughout its entire life cycle: from its design and materials to its use, repair and recycling. It aims to improve transparency, traceability and sustainability, facilitating the circular economy.
