Eco-design of Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR)

The ESPR sets requirements for products to be more energy and resource efficient, as in the 2009 Directive, but also more durable, reusable, repairable and recyclable. As a framework legislation, it defines specific standards over time, by product or by groups of similar characteristics.

Passport (DPP)

The Digital Product Passport (DPP) is an EU tool that gathers essential information about a product throughout its entire life cycle: from its design and materials to its use, repair and recycling. It aims to improve transparency, traceability and sustainability, facilitating the circular economy.

O ESPR estabelece requisitos para tornar os produtos mais eficientes, duradouros, reutilizáveis, reparáveis e recicláveis. Como legislação-quadro, define regras específicas ao longo do tempo para diferentes produtos ou grupos.

Este documento integra o ESPR e é uma das principais medidas do Plano de Ação para a Economia Circular (CEAP) da UE, funcionando como um bilhete de identidade do produto. Reúne dados específicos sobre origem, composição, pegada de carbono, reciclabilidade e outros aspetos.
